Wireless Internet Access
The library offers free wireless Internet access. With their wireless-ready laptops, patrons can access the Internet and many of our online subscription databases. The library's wireless network utilizes the WiFi standard. Most users can simply bring their wireless ready laptop or other wireless device into the library and turn it on. The computer will automatically access the wireless network.
Bookdrop
A book drop receptacle is available for patrons to return library books 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Library's book drop is located on 9th Street near the F Street corner. Videotapes, audio tapes, computer discs, and certain books cannot be returned to the book drop, as doing so may damage those materials. Library materials that cannot be returned to the book drop are marked accordingly.
Fax Services
Patrons can send and receive faxes at the Library. The cost of sending a fax is $1.00 per page to a local fax number, and $1.25 per page to a long distance number. The cost of receiving a fax at the library is $1.00 per page. Patrons wishing to send or receive a fax should contact the Library at 874-8541.
Photocopier and Scanner
The Library provides a photocopier and a scanner for patron use. The photocopier and scanner accept coins, one dollar bills and five dollar bills. Patrons can also purchase a copy card in the amount of 40 copies for $6, 60 copies for $9, and 100 copies for $15.00.
ADA Computer Station
The Library has a computer station to meet the needs of vision impaired patrons. This computer station is equipped with an extra large computer screen and "Zoom Text" software.
Diskettes, USB Jump Drives and CDs
Patrons can save information from the library's public computers onto diskettes, USB jump drives or CDs. Patrons may bring their own, or purchase diskettes, USB jump drives or CDs at the Circulation Desk.
